Notes: The Lava Men are out in force this round! Time seems to be very tight here so don't hang about too long. Trying to get past the Giant Demon while Death is on the scene and the Lava Men are shooting at you is a nightmare!

Notes: PPL at my arcade nicknamed this one "The Wasteland". It's a tough but high scoring round. The Mutant Frogs cause problems here as they lurk of the end of the lava pits making crossing time consuming. You'll probably notice that all the mutants speed up drastically from this round onwards.

Notes: Another dangerous round. There's a free life on this one, and like on 4 if it doesn't appear in the first few stones it's not there at all. It's annoying when is stuck up on the tree branch as it flies off the screen! Wait until a Bat swoops down and bounce off it onto the branch. To kill (or avoid) the Giant Demon walk over one of the crabs and jump onto it. This will hurl you high enough into the air to kill the Demon or vault safely over. Keep an eye on your time here as well.

Notes: The Star Tree is on this round, see Bonuses & Scoring for more about it. Make sure you get the parchment before collecting the stars as time quickly runs out here. The Drones are speeded up considerably on this round.

Notes: Another high scorer. The points just keep rolling in on this round, so stay on it as long as possible. There's a free man on the righthand side of the log bridge on the Jap version, on the US it's a Star.
