In the eighties and even early nineties, if you've played the original in the arcade and then you knew that when the computer or console versions were released they just wouldn't have the same atmosphere about them. Still, Rygar was so popular that it was bound to make it onto several different platforms. Everyone rushed out to buy it, but some were a bit disappointed...
There's eight different conversions of Rygar that I know of (including two Spectrum versions and the NES one). The Amiga and Atari ST were very popular computers around the time Rygar was released. I never saw anything for these which is strange as they would have probably been close to arcade perfect. I don't remember even seeing a PC version either...
